WOW! Where Do I Begin!!!

For Garland and I, this will be our third big sailing trip. On our last two trips we usually had to motor sail because of little wind, but not this trip! We had 20 knots of wind and high seas for most of the trip. As we sailed across the Gulf we were struggling with sleepless nights and weary eyed days. The last two days before we arrived to Isla Mujeres were amazing with beautiful weather and calm seas, thank goodness. During our last few days at sea we fished, cooked, cleaned, did computer work, and a little laundry.

GMann Doing Laundry, WHAT ????

Thank goodness we have a fisherman on board!

Catch and Eat! Mahi, Butter, garlic and Lemon!

Luckily we have Star Link so I can stay connected for my consulting assignment

I'm wanting to continue consulting while circumnavigating the world. When Garland and I were discussing going on this adventure I really did not want to disconnect with my mission to continue partnering with schools. Garland and I bought Starlink last summer on our last trip. We have not lost internet connection this whole trip. Our Starlink plan has an additional charge when we are off shore but our unlimited plan works close to shore. If you are thinking about buying Starlink I would recommend it.

Welcome To Isla Mujeres, Mexico!

Is this a happy face I see!? Isla Mujeres Arrival 4:00 am November 7, 2023

Arrival into Isla was wonderful, with calm seas which meant a great nights rest. We were ready for some much needed R and R. After, a good nights sleep we were ready to tackle boat projects and have a little fun of course. On Wednesday, we started watching the weather for departure. There has been some interesting lows in the western Caribbean that we have been tracking during our sail across the gulf. Now, we have determined that the seas are churning in the western Caribbean and our departure will probably be on November 18, 2023. Isla is not a bad place to be stuck. So we are making the most of mixing a little fun with work.

Lots of beautiful wild life to explore!

When you are sailing there are always things that can be tweaked, altered or cleaned. Small price to pay to live a beautiful life.

We will keep you posted on our travels!
